Captain America: Civil War Trailer

Underoos. I'll give you three guesses as to who this is, and if you can't, watch the Captain America: Civil War trailer to figure it out. In the next movie, Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. Bridge of Spies Opens in Theaters October 16th

A few weeks ago my husband and I saw this really, really bad movie with Owen Wilson (I'll let you Google it and figure the name out).  It was so bad that my eyes kept wandering around the theater, eventually finding a clock and counting down the minutes until it was over. The only good that came out of the movie were the previews. A couple of movies looked interesting and then a preview we both got excited about came on, Bridge of Spies. Bridge of Spies stars Tom Hanks and was directed by … [Read more...]

Captain America: The Winter Soldier in Theaters Today

I have been waiting for Captain America: The Winter Soldier to come out for what feels like forever. After being on the set, meeting Chris Evans and getting to hold THE shield (yes, one actually used in the movie - not a prototype), it only seems appropriate that I be in the theater opening weekend. If you haven't heard about the movie then you haven't been reading my blog. Shame on you! But seriously, if by some slim chance you're saying to yourself, "Captain America has a movie??" … [Read more...]

I am the Lorax.  I speak for the trees.  I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues.  - The Lorax I think when you become a mother you look at the world with a different view.  That's probably why Dr. Seuss' The Lorax is one of my favorite books to read my daughter.  It's the classic Dr. Seuss with it's rhymes and imaginative characters but it also has a message that was probably before it's time.  Because it's one of our favorite books, it's soon to become one of our favorite … [Read more...]

Mighty Fine Opens In Select Theaters May 25

Recently I had the opportunity to attend an online screening of the independent film, Mighty Fine followed by a live chat with two of the actors in the movie, Chazz Palminteri and Jodelle Ferland.  Written and directed by Debbie Goldstein, Mighty Fine is a fictional story yet draws on Debbie's experiences as a child living with an abusive father. The movie is set in the 70's and is centered around the Fine family.  Joe Fine can be charming, charismatic and downright mean.  When things are … [Read more...]
