Square Foot Gardening

Lately I've been reading about our food supply and all the concerns that go along with getting food to our local grocery stores, in an "affordable" manner. I put affordable in quotes because that term is up for debate. Affordable from a monetary standpoint is one thing, but affordable from a health standpoint is entirely different. It's not a coincidence that the fruits and vegetables most people like to eat (yes, I am making an assumption here) are the ones on the dirty dozen list. I about … [Read more...]

Garden Anywhere with Container Gardens

Most of us can truly use a little therapy and I find gardening to be so therapeutic.  Having your hands in the soil, caring for a garden is good for the soul.  No matter why you live, whether you live on an acre or in an apartment you have the ability to start a container garden. Grow Your Own Food with Scotts Gro-ables

This post brought to you by Gro-ables. All opinions are 100% mine. Growing my own food is pretty important to me.
