Happy Future Organic Bath Products

Happy Future is a French based company that is making entrance into the US baby bath market.  Known for their “real organic” products, every aspect of the Happy Future product line is natural and purified, tested for organic compliance and hypoallergenic with no nuts or heavy scents.   Happy Future makes the following commitment to their customers:

  • Contains no sweet almond oil or other nut derivatives
  • No parabens
  • No phenoxyethanol
  • No silicone
  • No petrochemical derivatives
  • No synthetic perfumes (they use vanilla bean)
  • No artificial colorings
  • No alcohol and no raw materials derived from GMOs (genetically modified organisms)
  • Recyclable packaging contains no phtalate

With a commitment like that, I was eager to try out these products for myself.  I’ve always been a sucker for products that are organic and hypoallergenic.  And because my daughter has had issues with eczema and other rashes of unknown etilogy (the most generic diagnosis in the world), I have to be careful about the products I introduce to her skin.  I was provided with four different products to try: Liniment Lotion, Cleansing Lotion (non-rinse), Delicate Cleansing Bath and Shower Gel and Moisturizing Cream for Face and Body.  Of the four products, my favorite has to be the Delicate Cleansing Bath and Shower Gel.

I have to admit, when I first opened the bottle and smelled the product, it reminded me of medicated shampoo.  I’m used to products being infused with scents, both synthetic and natural, so my reaction may have partly been due to not really knowing what an organic product should smell like.  After I came to terms with the smell, I tried it out on my daughter.  I liked that it lathered up and rinsed easily from her hair.  We had been using another organic product that while it had a better scent and the appropriate amount of lather, it seemed like it took forever to rinse it from my daughter’s hair and trust me, she doesn’t have that much of it.

We’re basically beyond the diaper changing stage but the Liniment Lotion sounds like a good alternative to using traditional baby wipes for diaper cleanup.  I have a few friends who make their own wipes (overachievers…lol) and I’ll be giving one of them this product to use.  While I probably wouldn’t have used it for every diaper change, I think it would work well when your baby had one of those really nasty ones. 🙂

How would you like to try out Happy Future products for yourself?  Come back to the blog on May 22nd for the Shake, Rattle and Roll Giveaway hop and you can enter to win all four of the products I mentioned above, with a retail value of $69.00.  Make sure to follow them on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with all the latest news.
